George has given a presentation at invitational Global Brain workshop held
in Brussels, July 3-5, 2001. The updated version of the presentation, "Designing
for the Emergence of a Global-scale Collective Intelligence: Invitation to a
Research Collaboration" can be found here.
George was a keynote speaker at the annual conference of the European
Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), June 24-26, 2001
There was an e-Learning
Expedition of more than 50 e-learning managers and executives from 23 major
European companies underway, the principal community and knowledge
architect of which was George Pór. This innovative "e-learning about e-learning"
experience was sponsored by IBM and INSEAD. The Expedition started January 8,
2001; its planned completion date April 24, 2001.
George wrote an article, in collaboration with Janice Molloy, on "Nurturing
Systemic Wisdom Through Knowledge Ecology," which was published as the cover
story of Systems Thinker, October 2000.
George Pór gave a keynote address at the "Consultation Meeting on the
Future of Organizations and Knowledge Management" of the European Commission's
Directorate-General "Information Society Technologies," Brussels, May 23-24,
2000.
The title of his speech was "Knowledge
-> Intelligence -> Wisdom: the Essential Value Chain of the New Economy" .
